Globally celebrated on October 4th each year, World Animal Day is a reminder that every animal has the right to co-exist with humans and to be treated with love, respect and have the right to a free life. As global World Animal Day Ambassador, in a media release, Otara Gunewardene stated that “I believe today should be a day of great reflection on the numerous ways we can move forward regarding improved animal welfare, a much needed change in so many industries.”
