Tree Planting – Commenced On Otara’s Birthday

Otara Foundation partnered with the Colombo Municipal Council to launch a tree planting project that would increase the tree cover in Colombo city by over 184 trees. This was initiated to both beautify the city and give Colombo a much needed boost of cleaner air and shade.

The project started on the 30th of August in celebration of Otara’s birthday where 50 Tabebuia Rosea trees were planted along Cambridge Place and Thurstan Road.
